KNIGHTS ARE PLAYOFF-BOUND FOR 6TH STRAIGHT YEAR

The CCCAA released the brackets for its postseason tournament and the Knights are in for the sixth consecutive year. They are the No. 18-seed in the Southern California bracket and will have to travel to No. 15 Santa Monica for a first round playoff on Wednesday, February 27 at 7 p.m.

This Knights (16-12, 7-3 PCAC South) won the state championship in 2017 and returned to the state final in 2018, but began both postseasons at home. Wednesday's playoff at Santa Monica (17-11) will be the first time they've started on the road since 2016 when they suffered a second round loss at Antelope Valley. 

Wednesday's game will be the second meeting of the season between the Knights and Corsairs with Santa Monica winning the first game, 80-62, at the Citrus tournament on November 17. Sophomore Joseph Riley led the Knights that day with 12 points off the bench.

City was 3-3 in road games this season, while the Santa Monica was 7-1 at home. 

The winner will advance to play No. 2 East Los Angeles (24-4) on Saturday, March 2. 

General admission for all CCCAA postseason games is $12. Students, faculty, and staff with ID will be charged $8 along with senior citizens (60 and over) and children under the age of 12.
