Logan Huston Named to All-State Team

Sophomore guard Logan Huston has been named to the 2025 California Community College Men's Basketball Coaches Association (CCCMBCA) All-State Team after a stellar season in which he helped lead the Knights to a second consecutive Pacific Coast Athletic Conference championship.

After another stellar PCAC season in which the Knights went 15-1 on their way to a second straight conference championship, San Diego City has once again recieved the PCAC's top awards along with six all-conference selections. Head Coach Mitch Charlens has been named conference Coach of the Year for the second consecutive year and sophomore Logan Huston was tabbed as the Player of the Year.

City Ends PCAC Season With 10th Straight Win

The back-to-back PCAC champion Knights put an exclamation point on the conference season with a wire-to-wire 79-60 home win over Palomar on sophomore night. They won their last 10 games and finished the PCAC season with only one loss (15-1) for the second straight year.

San Diego City secured its second consecutive PCAC championship by getting a 74-62 road win at Southwestern with sophomore Logan Huston scoring a game-high 24 points. It is also the third time in the last four seasons that the Knights have won the conference title and the 10th time since 2004-05.

The first-place Knights (21-5 overall, 13-1 PCAC) secured at least a share of the PCAC championship after getting a 63-41 home win over the second place MiraCosta Spartans (18-8, 11-3 PCAC). It was the Knights' eighth straight win as they moved two games ahead of MiraCosta and Southwestern with two games remaining.

Late Run Gives City 27th Straight Win Over Cuyamaca

San Diego City's 26-game win streak over Cuyamaca was in jeopardy on Friday night as the Coyotes had the game tied with less than five minutes left, but the Knights (19-5, 11-1 PCAC) pulled away late with a 9-0 run to win their 27th straight over Cuyamaca.

Brandon Bento-Jackson caught fire from deep on Friday night, hitting a career-high six 3-pointers in a 102-71 blowout victory over Grossmont. Marley Gonzalez also scored 18 points and brought down seven rebounds in City's 19th consecutive win over Grossmont.

Huston Hits Game-Winning 3 With 2.4 Left

Two days after losing on a buzzer beater at MiraCosta, Logan Huston knocked down the game-winning 3-pointer with 2.4 seconds left to get past Southwestern, 76-73, in front of the home crowd on Friday Night. Huston played all but one minute and scored a game-high 23 points to go with three assists and two steals to help the Knights improve to 14-5 overall and 6-1 in the PCAC.

San Diego City started 2025 with an historic 119-29 home win over Imperial Valley in which seven Knights scored in double figures, including Cameron Marshall who scored a season-high 27 points on 12-of-15 shooting.

San Diego City is off to a 2-0 start in the PCAC for the 14th consecutive season after dominating Mesa, 77-49, at home on Friday night. Cameron Marshall came off the bench to hit four three-pointers on his way to a season-high 22 points.

City's Defense Pulls Out Win Over No. 9 Modesto

The Knights held Modesto scoreless in the final 2:20 and went on to win, 57-52, to snap a two-game losing streak. Logan Huston scored a game-high 18 points to go with five rebounds and three steals to help San Diego City improve to 8-4.

San Diego City made it to the championship game of the Grossmont Invitational once again after winning the title the previous four seasons, but fell in double overtime, 93-82, to Moorpark. Kenny Gonzalez led the Knights with 24 points, while Logan Huston added 20 points.

No. 7 Knights Fall to No. 3 Fullerton in Defensive Struggle

In a meeting between two of the state's top teams that had the feel of of playoff game, the No. 7 Knights (5-2) had their five-game win streak snapped at home with a narrow 61-58 loss to No. 3 Fullerton (7-1) on Saturday afternoon. Brandon Bento-Jackson led the Knights with 12 points and six rebounds, while Marley Gonzalez added 10 points and three boards.

The No. 7 ranked Knights spent the weekend at Allan Hancock College's Home Motors Tournament and came away with three wins, including two over No. 12 San Jose City and No. 22 Allan Hancock, as they improved to 5-1.

After winning two of their first three games, the Knights came in as the No. 7 ranked team in the state according to the latest CCCMBCA poll released on Monday.

San Diego City (2-1) pulled away in the final eight minutes to secure an 80-75 home-opening victory over Ventura (4-3) for its second straight win. Sophomore Kenny Gonzalez led the way offensively with 17 points, six assists, and three rebounds, while fellow sophomore Logan Huston also scored 17 points to go with three assists and four steals.

San Diego City traveled to play two games at the Tournament of Champions, hosted by West Valley College, and came away with a 70-66 loss to defending state champion West Valley and an 89-86 overtime win over state semifinalist Yuba.
