Joe Seals is a passionate and experienced basketball coach with over 20 years of coaching and player development expertise. A graduate of San Diego High School (Class of 1993), Joe played under legendary coach Dennis Kane before returning years later to coach at his alma mater. During his tenure at San Diego High School, he led the program to three San Diego Section CIF Championships, cementing his impact on the school’s storied tradition.

Following high school, Joe attended Springfield College in Massachusetts, majoring in Business, before pursuing his lifelong calling—teaching and coaching the game of basketball.

For the past two decades, Joe has coached at multiple levels and spent the last eight years specializing in player development. His track record includes training numerous NCAA Division I, II, and III athletes, along with a number of overseas professionals. He has also coached on two of the most competitive grassroots circuits in the nation: the Nike EYBL and the Adidas 3SSB.

Beyond the accolades, Joe’s coaching philosophy is built on mentorship, discipline, and preparing athletes both on and off the court. His passion lies not just in building skilled players, but in shaping strong individuals ready for the challenges of life.

Away from basketball, Joe is a proud father of three amazing children: Kain (RIP), Kaydin (21), and Kannon (17), who currently plays high school basketball at Coronado High School.
