Hunter Lynch Named IEAC Player of the Week
Sophomore men's tennis player Hunter Lynch has been named Inland Empire Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the final week of February.
Sophomore men's tennis player Hunter Lynch has been named Inland Empire Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the final week of February.
Lynch won both of his doubles and singles matches to go 4-0 for the week.
He and his twin brother, Thomas Lynch, won their No. 1 doubles match, 8-1, over Imperial Valley's Jacob Montesinos and Gilbert Cruz. Hunter Lynch then blanked Cruz 6-0, 6-0 in No. 1 singles to help the Knights defeat IVC, 9-0.
Two days later, the Lynch brothers got another 8-1 victory over Fresno's Matthew McBride and Reagan Madding. Hunter Lynch faced McBride in singles action and only dropped one game in a 6-1, 6-0 win, which was part of another 9-0 sweep for the Knights.
