Blake, Daniels Lead City to Home-Opening Win
Sophomores Dahlia Blake and Aamori Daniels led the way with a combined 30 points and 25 rebounds in a 74-48 home-opening win over El Camino. The Knights took control in the second quarter and went ahead by as many as 28 to earn their first victory of the new season.

The Knights did not have a good shooting night as they only made 39.8 percent of their field goal attempts, but they made up for it by winning the rebound battle, 55-41.
City grabbed 24 offensive rebounds which led to a 22-7 advantage on second chance points. The Knights had a strong game defensively as they held El Camino to 28.9% shooting.
Blake was a force throughout the game and tallied 19 points, 14 rebounds, and four assists.
Daniels also recorded a double-double with 11 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, and two blocks.
The Knights jumped out to 16-5 lead in the first quarter and outscored El Camino 18-7 in the second quarter to take a 38-17 halftime lead.
That lead ballooned to 52-38 in the third quarter as the Knights cruised to their first win in front of their home crowd.
Two other Knights joined Blake and Daniels in double figures, including point guard Elissa St. Julien who put up 17 points, three rebounds, and five assists.
Maddox Weisskopf added 10 points, eight rebounds, three assists, and three steals.
The Knights have another home game on Friday at 5 p.m. against Citrus.
