Castro Hits Seven 3-Pointers in Rout
San Diego City finished 2025 with their second consecutive win, a 89-44 rout of San Bernardino Valley, in their final non-conference game of the season. Freshman guard Laylah Castro exploded for a career-high 23 points, including 7-of-10 from 3-point land, to go with seven assists and four rebounds.

Sophomore Dahlia Blake hit the 20-point mark for the third time this season as she tallied 20 points and five rebounds.
Sophomores Aamori Daniels and Elissa St. Julien provided plenty of scoring and rebounding off the bench. Daniels scored 18 points and brought down six rebounds with four steals, while St. Julien totaled 14 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, and five steals.
The Knights outscored San Bernardino Valley 24-11 in the opening quarter and 27-9 in the third quarter.
Castro hit five of her seven 3-pointers in the second half to help City defeat SBVC for the second time this season. The Knights made a total of nine 3-pointers on Monday, which is the most they've had in a game this season.
With the non-conference schedule completed, the Knights are set to begin PCAC play at No. 22 Mesa on January 7 at 5 p.m. They will then be home on January 9 against Southwestern, also at 5 p.m.
