SEVEN KNIGHTS MOVING ON TO THEN NEXT LEVEL

All four sophomores who led the Knights to back-to-backs state title game appearances and a state championship in 2017 will be moving on to 4-year schools along with three others on the 2017-18 team. 

Pacific Coast Athletic Conference-South MVP and CCCMBCA Southern California Player of the Year Robert McCoy will be joining the Portland State Vikings in the fall. McCoy led the 2017-18 Knights in scoring (16.8 ppg), rebounds (7.4 rpg), and blocks (1.6).

Freshman Ethan Esposito, who was selected to the All-PCAC South first team and the all-tournament team at the state championship, will be putting on a Sacramento State University uniform next season. Esposito averaged 10.1 points and 5.9 rebounds for the Knights and led them in scoring in the Elite Eight and Final Four games. 

Sophomore Darius Lee, who made the All-PCAC South second team in 2018, has signed to play for Mississippi Valley State University. Lee moved into a starting role in 2017-18 after coming off the bench the previous season and averaged 7.1 points and 3.6 rebounds. 

Sophomore Robert Taylor, also an All-PCAC South second team member, averaged 9.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.4 steals in 2017-18 and will be playing at Concordia University in Irvine. 

Sophomore Luis Salgado, who averaged 7.7 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.4 steals off the bench for City in 2017-18, earned All-PCAC South honorable mention and is headed to Cal State Stanislaus.

Sophomores Wonder Smith and Deion Davis have offers, but haven't officially signed yet. When they do, the program will have transferred 14 players in the last two years.
