After the opening tip, the game looked interesting for the first six minutes when Imperial Valley stayed toe-to-toe with the Knights by erasing a six-point deficit to tie it up at 11-11.
The Knights, however, put together a 14-0 run capped off by a Dylan Griffin 3-pointer. In the last 14 minutes of the first half, City outscored IVC, 44-18, to put the game away.
Griffin scored 19 of his game-high 29 points in that first half and finished the game with eight rebounds, three assists, four steals, and a career-high five blocks to help City earn its 25th consecutive win over IVC.
Junior Camacho poured in 23 points to go with five rebounds, three assists, and three steals.
Pharaoh Amadi provided 15 points, six rebounds, and two steals off the bench.
Micah Brickner recorded his first double-double of the season with 16 points and 10 rebounds.
Starters Andrew Azebeokhai Jr and Matin Madadkar scored 13 and 10 points, respectively. It was the second straight game where all five starters scored in double figures.
The Knights kept a 3-game lead in the standings with five games left and can clinch at least a share of the PCAC championship with two more wins.
They play at Cuyamaca on Friday at 7 p.m. and will be back at Harry West Gym on Feb. 11 against Miramar.
