San Diego City's 9-year playoff drought is over now that the Knights earned the No. 19 seed in the 3C2A Southern California regional playoffs. They will play at No. 14 Fullerton in the first round on Wednesday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m.

City Shuts Out MiraCosta in PCAC Finale

The Knights came into Friday's PCAC finale needing to get a good result against second place MiraCosta to solidify their playoff hopes and they came away with an impressive 3-0 shutout victory to finish the conference season on a three-game win streak.

San Diego City produced a season-high 10 goals, including seven in the first half, in a 10-0 rout of Imperial Valley with Mateja Hadzibabic and Adam Neto each scoring twice.

The Knights turned Tuesday's home game into a goal fest as they put in four goals in each half to rout Southwestern, 8-3, with Danny Mckelliget and Jamesley Exantus each scoring twice.

Exantus' Brace Lifts City in Win Over State Champs

San Diego City opened the PCAC season with a thrilling 2-1 comeback win over last year's state champion Cuyamaca with sophomore Jamesley Exantus scoring City's two goals, including the game-winner in the 78th minute.

The Knights concluded the non-conference portion of the season with a 1-1 draw at Long Beach City with Alexander Torres scoring in his fifth straight game.

The Knights extended their win streak to four and their unbeaten streak to six after shutting out Saddleback, 2-0, with Alexander Torres scoring a brace and goalkeeper Diego Garcia saving the only two shots on goal.

The Knights scored the first two goals of Friday's game at Santiago Canyon and held on to win 2-1, their second consecutive road victory. Alexander Torres and Jamesley Exantus each put in their second goals of the season as the Knights improved to 2-1-2.

San Diego City opened its season last week with a loss at Arizona Western in Yuma, Calif., but they played their first 3C2A game on Friday and scored a late goal to earn a 2-2 draw on the road at College of the Desert.

Five Knights Make All-PCAC; Exantus Tabbed Offensive POY

San Diego City finished with a winning overall record (9-6-5) and a winning PCAC record (7-3-2) for the first time since 2018 and as a result of their success this season, five Knights have been named to the all-PCAC team, including Jamesley Exantus who earned PCAC Offensive Player of the Year.

Exantus Nets Two in Win at Mesa

The Knights won their third straight, 2-1, over Mesa on Friday and also extended their unbeaten streak to seven with Jamesley Exantus scoring another brace. San Diego City, which improved to 9-5-5 overall and 7-22 in the PCAC, can secure at least a tie for second place in the conference with a win or a draw in the final match day at first place Cuyamaca on Tuesday.

San Diego City extended its unbeaten streak to five after shutting out Imperial Valley, 2-0, in the final PCAC home match of the season. Christopher Miramontes and Johnson Nguyen scored the goals as the Knights improved to 7-5-5 overall and 5-2-2 in the conference.

Knights Move Into 2nd With 3rd Straight Victory

The Knights (6-5-4, 4-2-1 PCAC) won their third straight on Friday as they edged out MiraCosta, 2-1, to move up into a second place tie with the Spartans with only five games remaining in the PCAC season. Marko Alonzo's second-half goal was his first of the season and ended up being the game-winner.

Knights Shutout Mesa; Exantus Scores Twice

San Diego City was tied in the standings with Mesa coming into Tuesday's game, but the Knights moved past the Olympians with a 3-0 shutout to improve to 3-2-1 in the PCAC (5-5-4 overall), which puts them into sole possession of third place with six games remaining.

White With a Brace in Big Home Win Over Southwestern

The Knights earned a big home win on Friday as they bested Southwestern, 3-1, to remain in the hunt for a PCAC championship. Elijah White scored twice and Jamesley Exantus added another as San Diego City improved to 2-2-1 in the conference and 4-5-4 overall.
